Notebook
Essentials
Every DM has one; many players have them: the gaming notebook.
Articles, notes, ideas, anything that has caught the gamer's eye as
somthing they might need. Someday. Well, Notebook Essentials are more
of the same. More things that you might need in your gaming notebook.
Before Level One
Before Level One is a
Notebook Essential describing play of
fragile less than first level characters. When the village needs a
hero, sometimes those who answer the call are very wet behind the ears.
Can the blacksmith's apprentice save the day? How about the librarian?
If you don't like playing fragile characters, you can still use this
supplement to add background information to normal characters.

In addition to a few new swarms, swarm powers are described:
quasi-magical effects that multiple swarms working together can
achieve. The aquatic swarm, or school, is demonstrated with the
pirhana. Stampedes are larger creatures hell-bent on running, trampling
everything in the path beneath them. Skirmishes are mobs of creatures
involved in a melee where it is generally every man for himself.
Handling a barroom brawl has never been easier. After a few spells, an
Epic Swarm is described. What's more fun than a single DemiLich? A
swarm of them..
